PTFE Sanitary Tri-Clamp® Gaskets are an excellent choice for applications where low-temperature flexibility and hygienic seal memory are not required. PTFE provides excellent heat resistance, with an operating range from -100°F to 500°F.

PTFE offers good chemical stability, almost no extractables, a low absorption rate, and excellent resistance to process fluids. These Tri-Clamp® gaskets can remain in service for long periods in both water and steam applications.

PTFE sanitary gaskets are not recommended where large temperature variations frequently occur, as changes in PTFE density can make joints more prone to leakage. For applications with frequent temperature fluctuations, high-pressure clamps are recommended.
