Product Overview

Media Bros. CR41™ is a high-performance, pH-neutral filtration and remediation media engineered for in-line hydrocarbon extraction workflows. Combining zeolite and activated carbon media, CR41 is designed for demanding color remediation while also supporting the removal of light pesticide residues, metals, and other unwanted contaminants. Its granular, high-flow formulation provides efficient processing with minimal pressure drop and is supplied ready to use without pre-wetting or additional preparation.

Product Description

CR41 helps refine color, remove pesticides, and purify your product. Suggested use and application are identical to that of CRX and CRY, where more complex filter media may be required for light pesticide removal, light metal removal, and additional color removal are desired.  Great for distillation prep.

Suitable for processing material affected by light pesticide/environmental contamination and metals. Media Bros specifically positions CR41 as its mid-level option for pesticide remediation.

Processing

Older/Oxidized Biomass

Well suited for older or oxidized starting material requiring stronger purification and color correction before downstream processing.

Handling & Storage

Keep CR41™ in its original container and protect the media from moisture and contamination. Load the dry media into an appropriate in-line filtration housing using compatible filter screens and process equipment. Media Bros recommends a ≤5-micron screen followed by a 0.2-micron final filter for its documented CR41 process. Follow the current manufacturer SDS, facility SOPs, and applicable PPE requirements during handling, storage, use, and disposal.

Avoid generating or inhaling filtration-media dust and use appropriate PPE and engineering controls according to the SDS and facility procedures. Do not reuse spent remediation media; Media Bros recommends single-use media for consistent remediation performance. Dispose of used media according to the SDS and applicable local regulations.
