Description

Rubber Fab’s Tuf-Steel® Sanitary Tri-Clamp® Gaskets are the preferred solution for applications requiring exceptional purity, long service life, chemical resistance, and extreme temperature performance. When properly torqued, Tuf-Steel® gaskets provide a 100% leak-free seal with minimal creep and cold flow.

Tuf-Steel® is a proprietary blend of non-pigmented PTFE (Teflon®) and water-atomized, passivated 316L stainless steel. The result is a non-stick, ultra-low absorption gasket material capable of maintaining seal integrity through severe temperature fluctuations.

These gaskets perform reliably in a service temperature range of -350°F to 550°F. For optimal performance, the use of a Torque-Rite® Clamp Nut is recommended.

Performance & Reliability

Tuf-Steel® is the original metal-detectable gasket material and has always been detectable by metal detectors and magnetic separators. Over a decade of documented use confirms its superior durability, surface performance, and extended service life in demanding SIP (Steam In Place) and WFI (Water For Injection) applications.

Unlike envelope gaskets, Tuf-Steel® will not revert under stress, eliminating cold flow and creep while maintaining a leak-free seal in extreme temperature and sanitary steam processes.
