A closed-loop extraction system typically includes a material column, solvent tank, recovery vessel, vacuum pump, and a collection base. Xtractor Depot offers complete closed-loop systems as well as individual components so you can build or expand your setup based on throughput requirements and facility specifications.
Ethanol extraction uses food-grade ethanol to dissolve cannabinoids and terpenes, and is well suited for high-volume processing. Hydrocarbon extraction uses solvents like butane or propane in a closed-loop system to produce concentrates with preserved terpene profiles. Each method has advantages depending on your target output, throughput needs, and facility setup.
Solvent recovery systems are designed to reclaim and recycle solvents used during extraction, reducing operating costs and waste. Rotary evaporators, falling film evaporators, and dedicated solvent recovery tanks are the most common options. The best choice depends on your solvent type, batch size, and recovery speed requirements.
